Sending thoughts and prayers is a cheap way to evade taking responsible steps in a crisis. In response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, sports authorities take spirited steps:

Spirited action also comes from the soccer world: Poland, Sweden and the Czech Republic are asking for their WCQ playoff matches to not be held in Russia:

Last, but not least, Boxing Champion Wladimir Klitschko lays out steps for the fight for freedom and democracy:

You can do something by mobilizing and organizing huge demonstrations. Make your voice heard. Make the voice of democracy heard. Say it loud and clear that international law and democracy are under attack, that war is the greatest evil and that life is sacred.
